Water Rescue Professional Development Day
The Professional Development and Benefits
The Professional Development Day will cover topics to address various areas of water rescue, and is suitable for Land-based Operators, On-Water Operators, In-Water Operators, Over-Water Operators, as well as agency leaders and decision makers.
Our world renown Water Rescue Technical Committee (WRTC) and instructors will provide theory and practical hands-on workshops throughout the day, featuring new techniques, innovations, best practice, procedures and knowledge from across the industry, its partners and sponsors. They are nationally and internationally recognised with the WRTC and instructors having recently won the United Kingdom Rescue Organisation (UKRO) Water Rescue Challenge.
The objective of the day is tailored to the high standard of preparing, equipping and developing participants for the Australasian Water Rescue Challenge (AWRC) and the Australasian Rescue Boat Challenge (ARBC). If participating in the practical sessions; attendees must be able to fulfil the qualification role requirements and prerequisites as per the AWRC and ARBC criteria.
Hosted by the ARO WRTC and the Challenge Management Team (CMT), this opportunity is open to all approved members of current ARO agencies/affiliates/associate members who are also current ARO individual members.
