Objectives of ARO
ARO is an Association incorporated in Victoria, Australia (number A0042189P) under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981.
In accordance with the Act, ARO has Rules of Association (similar to a constitution) that govern its operation. In addition, the Executive Committee has developed a Statement of Purpose, setting out what ARO will achieve and how it will measure its success.
Rules of Association
This is the ARO constitution. These rules can only be changed by a majortity vote at the Annual General Meeting or a Special General Meeting of the members. Such meetings must be called in accordance with the procedures detailed in these rules.
Strategic Plan
ARO is the peak body for the exchange of knowledge in rescue and as such has a clearly defined purpose. This Strategic Plan (2020 – 2022) showcases ARO’s ‘capability hub’ concept whilst detailing the objectives of ARO and its measures of success.
