Darryl Commenced as Assistant Commissioner (AC) Central Region in February 2020. Previously he was Director of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) 2018 Commonwealth Games program and Director of Regional Operations Brisbane Region.
Darryl has over 30 years’ experience in various roles within QFES including service as a volunteer Fire Warden, Chairperson of the AFAC 20016 Annual Conference committee and is a QFES Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) manager.
Darryl is a graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineers and has a Graduate Diploma in Executive Leadership, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Management and an Advanced Diploma of Public Safety. Darryl was awarded the Australian Fire Service Medal in 2019. He is currently chair of the ARC 21 committee and attended ARC19 as an observer and was very impressed with the event. Darryl is very excited about the opportunity to serve ARRO as the new Governance and Compliance Officer.
